Re: Appropriate keyword density (KD) range?

Choosing the right keyword density range of content for SEO The terms SEO and keyword density may seem strange to anyone not familiar with those terms. However, a person who is not engaged and who is not even interested in SEO writing will not be reading this anyway. In the SEO parlance, keyword density means the concentration of the keywords targeted by the writer for the entire article. Some people believe that the greater the keyword density, the better their chances are of being found in the web. However, this belief has created a lively debate among SEP practitioners considering the restrictions imposed by some article directories on keyword density.

Re: Appropriate keyword density (KD) range?

Google states that you need to create pages primarily for users not for search engines. If you care too much about the right KD, you're automatically writing your content primarily for search engine spiders. That's why Google and other search engines will never disclose the appropriate keyword density (KD). Nowadays, keyword density is less important... It is acceptable as long as it is organically placed in the text. You can exceed the limit if required, of course overdoing of everything is bad. So place keywords wherever they are required.

Re: Appropriate keyword density (KD) range?

I usually limit the use of my keywords in my articles and website content to 2%. I think this is the most practical percentage limit in order to meet Google's search engine guidelines..

Re: Appropriate keyword density (KD) range?

Keyword density range differs from one search engine to another. Google requires a maximum of 3% and Yahoo & MSN requires 5-6%.
To get listed in the top of the search engine search result page, the web page should maintain the minimum KD limit. For Google, there is no minimum KD limit mentioned. So, it is better to maintain 2%. For yahoo & MSN, it should be 5%. To stay away from any bad actions like banning your web page by the search engines, the web page KD value should not be more than the maximum KD limit. For Google, it should not exceed 3%. For yahoo and MSN, it should not exceed 6%.
