Which links are link to only other website to your website is called one-way link. This type of link mostly found in the blog commenting technique. Blog provides the quality one way backlinks. It is also use to increase popularity of your website.

It's not really difficult as most of the time, you only get a request for a reciprocal link if you go to a site like a directory or a start up site (something that is relevant to your site but is just looking for links or a directory site - 2 sites you shouldn't really care about). if you really have a page worthy of being linked, other authority websites will definitely give you a link without asking a link back from you or not even notifying you that they have added your link to their pages. now that is a good one way link.

This is true Johny! If you have something really new and unique to offer you will get a huge no of linkbacks automatically. Otherwise with directories and some other niche based sites which you will approach can ask you to link back to them, they are called reciprocal links, it is like I link you and you link me back..

Free directory submission is one way linking. and reciprocal directory submission is two way linking.
