It is a common sense. Why would you post your Shoe Business (just like in an online forum/discussion) in an All-about-*** forum .Not related, Right?

When someone will search and uses a certain keyword, there will be a good chance that your site may come up. That is if you posted on relevant sites. 🙂

It helps to find an answer from an expert and SEO point of view it provides a backlink to your site if it is do follow. you definitely heard a correct if a forum is relating to site then it will help you in the form of traffic diversion and backlink.
