Can anyone tell me What resolution should your web site be designed for?

Hello,

Your website should be designed at 72dpi.

As for size, a common standard is 960px wide. The reason is that it divides easily into 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 columns.

Even after implementing the most common resolution for your website, it is good practice to check at which resolution your users have. You can get this information from analytic tools like Google analytic to check the resolution of your visitors. If you found one common resolution in a big percentage of visitors, you should check your design layout at that as well.
