Re: what is Page Jacking?.

Let's say you to a web site and see a menu and other links on the page. It looks like any other web site without any warning flags or issues. You go to click on a menu item of interest but are suddenly taken to a page that you never wanted to actually go to.

What happens is that there is a transparent page above the page that you can actually see. Many times you end up clicking on one of two things. Sometimes it's an offer to buy a product and you are confused about why you are on an order page. The second thing is that you end up clicking on an unsafe link.

Page hijacking or page-jacking is the act of stealing content from a website and placing it on your own. It’s a bad SEO technique and something that can attract a Panda penalty..

Re: what is Page Jacking?.

The term pagejacking is a combination of the words Web page and hijacking, indicating that a Web page has been hijacked.
The activity of stealing content (typically in the form of source code) from a Web site and copying it into another Web site in order to siphon some of the original site??s traffic to the copied Web pages. Pagejackers rely on search engines to spider the contents of the illegitimate site and index the results so that the copied site will appear in the search result rankings along with the original site??s rankings. Users can be tricked into thinking the illegitimate site is the one they are searching for, and once they visit the copied site they may be subjected to mousetrapping.
