What are 3 way links ?

Can someone tell me what exactly is 3 way link exchange ? Some say its A --> B --> C --> A.

Is this the way ? Or are we supposed to leave the circle unfinished?

The more i search for it on the net, the more confusing it becomes. Quite a number of articles say A --> B --> C --> A. Others say A --> B and C --> A.

But some say otherwise as well.

Does anyone know of an online authority on links?

A three-way link exchange refers to a kind of reciprocal link exchange among three domains instead of two. A reciprocal link exchange that is so popular today among webmasters is mostly a two-way linking.

In a three-way link exchange, three different domains must be involved. For example, site A links to site B, but not B to A. So, site B is only receiving a one-way link from site A and NOT linking back to it. Likewise, site C and site A are linked from one site but not linking back. Instead, site C and A are simply reciprocal-linking to different domains. Like A-->B--->C---->A

The way to create more natural links in a three-way link exchange is done by using a set of three one-way links. A, B, and C are only receiving one-way links, and they do not directly link back.

Re: What are 3 way links ?

Three way linking can easily be explained in the example below:

You have three websites – website A, website B and website C.
Website A links to website B.
Website B links to website C
Website C links to website A

As you can see, there is no direct reciprocal link here. Each website is linking to another website, but getting a link back from a different website.

Re: What are 3 way links ?

one thing that I would advise is don't do it anymore. 3 way links is a link exhange offer that is a SEO technique that you should not be considering any longer. There aren't really that much webmasters or site owners out there who would take time or even considering emails or any form of ""contact back"" to webmasters requesting a link exchange because:

1. Those practically begging for links would only have start up sites (no authority, no traffic)
2. link pages are usually like link farms (if filled with relevant sites it is overpopulated)
