I am targeting low competitive keywords for my web promotion but they are not providing any type of benefit in website promotion.My website SERP in still on 2nd page from last 7 days it is not improving even after so many link building. I am unable to understand the reason behind. Why the low competitive keyword taking so much time in achieving rank on first page.
Kindly share your opinion about this problem.

To get more suggestions from the community, it would be beneficial to provide the keyword, your website's URL and age. But speaking generally, if is just 7 days that you don't see any ranking improvements, there's nothing to worry about. SEO takes time - just keep building links, and you'll see the results soon.

Do some more quality link building , submit your site to high pr websites and do some high pr book marking you will get good ranking but if your keywords contain more competitors then it will take some time.
