I hаνе 1 site thаt used tο bе ranked οn thе first page fοr many ɡrеаt keywords, thеn lost аƖƖ іtѕ SERP rank.

There is no one major factor in loosing your SERP as it could be a combination of things. What you need to watch out for are:
- your competitors
- SE updates
- your backlinks
- sites linking to your site
- your webmaster tool report about your site
and those are just some of them.

Hi Rob,
A huge factor that could play a role in loss of SERP is violating Google's new rules / algorithms. Constantly using black hat SEO or other methods that are frowned upon by Google will hurt your search engine page rank. Many do not even realize they are doing negative things to their website. You have to be very careful these days of how you are being represented online if you want to maintain a high rank.
