Every time you add a bookmark to one of your pages in one of these sites you create a backlink. If you bookmark every piece of content you create in all of these sites you can build a lot backlinks over time. For best results, you want to make sure that the bookmarking sites provide a real, do-follow link. There is much debate as to whether or not no-follow links are still useful so I won’t get into that here. However one thing you do want is a real link. Several sites don’t provide real backlinks – they use their own form of dynamic link which does not count as a backlink. So go for manually bookmarking is the best way.

social book marking is used to index the pages. Only do follow bookmarking sites will help to increase the backlinks.

When your website is posted on a social bookmarking site, it will create a back link for your website. As we are aware that search engines tend to rank websites based on links.
An easy way to get these back links are from social bookmarking websites. Although all social bookmarking websites may not help with back links.

Yes Social bookmarking is good in building backlinks but very few sites provide them. But yes they increase traffic a lot.

I do agree that Social Bookmarking does provide good backlinks, and is also effective too have a better pagerank. But, the thing here is how effective you have applied it. I the approach is quite essential to have better results.

Yes, it is definitely because when you post interesting content people will visit your site and they will vote on your content also. The most important thing is that you participate regularly and avoid posting your own material to these sites. So, at that you are in benefit.
