Have you thought about advertising on Facebook and Twitter? Another way we get a lot of traffic to our site at YPA is by using websites like StumbleUpon and JumpTags. 🙂

forum networking, social bookmarking, blogging, podcasting, automating your content and press releases normally do the job, in addition to giving out flyers and business cards, with your website address on them. Don't be gassed into thinking paid online advertising is the only way to effective promote a business, because organically getting the word out online about your business is more effective than PPC, although PPC is a good way to sell something instantly, if you know what you're doing.

Hi there,

I always get confused, when trying to get traffic from sites like StumbleUpon & Squidoo. How can I go about trying to build traffic from those sites, because I just don't get it. When it comes to Squidoo, I don't even know how to build a lens for DrewryNewsNetwork, as I hear many online publishers are able to generate and convert free traffic from having successful Squidoo lenses...
