There is no any perfect ratio of content for getting better keyword ranking. If you have more content in your site but there are no quality and uniqueness in that then it is meaningless for you. But if you have supplied fresh and quality content then you will get more benefit from that.

We can not count the contents of ranking keywords, the amount of quality content is also required. The quality of content is also important for page ranking and traffic.

In SEO, only content and its density is not important for rank. The backlinks + navigation + age + content all are important. I recommend the content 600 words, written for users. And if you want result, don't forget to collect backlinks for the internal pages as well. One more thing, don't expect quick result if your domain is new and with very high competitive keywords. Your target keywords should be keyword phrase.
