How I Promote My Own Web Site?

Hi

My suggestion to get free, ever-lasting traffic is to build lots of pages based on researched keywords related to your topic. You need to look for keywords that have lots of search demand, yet low or relatively low supply, meaning not that many people have pages written about that particular keyword.

Doing this many times over, will help you pull traffic from the search engines. Make sure the content is original and of high value to your visitors.

You will need some on page optimization, of course, but this technique in addition to link building/article writing will work for you for years to come.

Good luck!

The most powerful thing I have done is create social networking sites that grow on their own from membership added content – all unique stuff too.

Make sure you have substantial content that is relevant to your business and your industry.
Submit your website to an industry site and/or industry directory. However beware of directories that solicit you for upgraded listings. Make sure the directory is widely used and accepted in your industry. Always affiliate your site with reputable sites.

Re: How I Promote My Own Web Site?

Hi

A portfolio is the best way to show off your abilities and that of your business. So you should always have a list of the sites you worked on, what made them unique or interesting, and screen shots of the site as well as a link to the live site (if it's still available). Remember that when you're creating a portfolio, you should keep screen shots or if your contract allows, copies of the site you developed on your own server. Web sites change all the time, and if you're not the design firm that the site owner chooses for the next redesign, your portfolio will quickly get out of date.

Thanks

Re: How I Promote My Own Web Site?

Hi
Everybody knows that web site promotion is vital for website success. The good news is that promoting your site boils down to two simple strategies:

1. Creating compelling content that site visitors and search engines 'enjoy', and
2. Building inbound links to your site (and repeating).

And HowIPromoteMyWebsite.com is your free guide to website promotion that shows you how to do just that. (More advanced site promotion activities like using pay-per-click search advertising and email marketing also covered). Enjoy.

Hello, my name is Steve M Nash and I am the owner of several successful websites, and have been so since 1999.

My free promote website guide, HowIPromoteMyWebsite, covers basics like search engine optimization, building incoming links, and publishing a newsletter to more advanced subjects like using pay-per-click search engines and how to write a press release.

Thanks
