Re: The rules in my small business

Instead of trying to 'Manage Them', have you talked with them about it?

When they came in late, did they also left early or did they stay a little longer to compensate?
Are there real valid reasons for being late, or are they just being disrespectful?

Outline what they can expect from you as their leader and what you expect of them being part of the team. Also be sure to promote an open communication.

Re: The rules in my small business

Use a single powerful message: A high response rate ad usually conveys a single message. Your small business advertising needs to quickly communicate its core message in 3 seconds or less. A perfect example of this is, if you are fearful and overwhelmed by technology, which computer book do you buy? “DOS for Dummies” began a best-selling phenomena because its message was easily understood and to the point.

2. Add Credibility: It has become human nature to not trust advertising. Claims need to be real and credible. Roy H. Williams, best-selling author of the “Wizard of Ads” says, “Any claim made in your advertising which your customer does not perceive as the truth is a horrible waste of ad dollars.” So if you make a claim in an advertisement make d**n sure that you include the proof. If you have a magic pill that will make my dog behave show the lab that this magic pill was tested in with a snippet of the results.
