SiliconValleyWatcher has confirmed that Yahoo, through its advertising network Overture, is testing "YPN" a competitor to Google Adsense--the hugely profitable advertising network.

Nice find, I can't wait until the roll out. Prices will go up for us Adsense users! yay!!!

why wouldn't prices go down for everyone? With advertisers money having to be split and going elsewhere, PPC prices will go down. Google may raise the percentage that you get, but at best I would say it would even out.

I don't think that Yahoo! payout rates are as high as Google's...+ I see ONLY 1 out of 10 people use yahoo!

Yes, I prefer Google Adsense, but i also like Yahoo. They are prestigous brand. They have opened that contest in order to attract people publishing with them. And i think that's a good idea.
