In my opinion article directory allow anyone to post articles for marketing. The articles have to be informative and can’t just be blatant sales pitches. Most article directories have fairly strict rules on the standards that the articles they publish have to meet.

Article marketing is very useful for link building and also for more backlink to own website.By articles about own company may be useful for people to know about company situation and by this customer , investor attract to own website.And do not submit same article in multiple directories , try to provide best and unique article every time on different directories.

Articles are one of the best way to generate traffic. I think, same article can be submit into many article directories, its better to prefer high PR sites like Ezine articles. Article containing good title and effective content then people will definitely read it which results to get good ranking in search engines.

As a article directory owner I have experienced that unique articles has very good effect on seo both for article directory and the backlink walue of article but syndicate articles are likely have negative effects.

I have written a couple of articles, but not much. It does build links and a bit of traffic if done correctly. However, if you are submitting the same article to multiple directories, this is going to hurt you more than help you.
