I also agree with others that you can participate in that also you can edit your content easily. You can submit your content like blog, article in it and will get benefit from that. It's a one platform where people can interact with each other.

Web 2.0 is just a buzzword and is not really any kind of web around the world we had before. It simply describes the trend of recent popular release sites, often with things that people can interact with sites without having to become experts. So blogs, wikipedias, social networking, video sharing, etc.
