This maybe refer to Cloaking. It is an SEO technique in which the content showed for "search engine spiders" is different from what is presented for users. Many say that this is a "Blackhat SEO technique" but Google says that as long as doorway pages are visible for users and "crawlable" by most search engines, it will pass the webmaster guidelines.
