Tax ID

Hello All

I'm new on this forum andjust started my business....what i would like to know is can you Tax ID be stolen by some other organisation?? Reason is i'm about to apply for an account from a company that has some questionable business practices. They are located in the USA, FL but have branches in various countries i'm not sure of where their corporate office is as af as which country. But anyways i would like to know is if submit my Tax Id number if it can be stolen. Thanks

If you have an alternative I would never work with someone who I do not trust. Look them up at the BBB

Thanks for the response i thought the same too myself..and i already checked with BBB. i also did a cross reference check with the Whois Domainname Search, and i came up with a very different address from the one that was registered. So that's all i'll need to go on.
