Forum posting, blogging, classified Adds and social book marking are also the best way for advertising and the main advantage of this type of techniques is that if you have knowledge of it then you don't have to pay any cost for this to any SEO services.

I agree with abia39... At YPA we do a lot of commenting on forums and blog post on a bunch of different sites to get our name out there. And like you said, it's free! 🙂

Social media marketing strategies are some of the cheapest ways to advertise and promote whatever it is that you are planning to offer or sell. Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn are the major networking sites that I am into right now.

The cheap Advertising Ideas are you can advertise in forum as well as blog there are some free advertising sites that are offering free classified Adds ,today facebook are the most known site for that another is like, fliker ,twitter, social book marking are also the great idea for that.

I think these are the cheap advertising ideas. first, you have to create and use a promotion kit. second, you need to create a brochure. third one is create a web-site if you do not have one.

This is so true. I personally do forum postings myself hopefully with signatures so that they can link to the site. classified ads provide not only advertising on what you are selling but free backlinks as well lastly social media provides brand imaging and visibility to your website.

Blogging and joining forums are a great way to increase SEO. You may want to hire an SEO specialist, or talk to your web designer about it as there is a lot of things with website coding that plays into visibility and SEO. Also some great books about it I recommend reading a few to get a better idea.

I am a currently established small business and am looking for some cheap advertising ideas. Here is what I have tried:
1) Fliers: Driving by people's houses and throwing a rolled-up rubber banded flier inside of a paper protector on their driveway as I drive by
2) Craigslist
3) Small Bumper Magnet on Car
The fliers have been most effective although it seems very awkward leaving them out. If I do, I usually do it at night when no one is active... but I always feel like a criminal.
Any other ideas???

Those are all great ideas for cheap advertising... I'd like to add to the list ReadThrough Marketing. Its a new concept but it has great potential. Keep your eyes on it. I think this might take off and its perfect for the smaller bussiness, very affordable and a clever concept. There was a write up about it on CBS MoneyWatch and URLwire

I recommend positively contributing and participating in niche specific forums and use the signature feature. Never spam. The net is full of places to advertise for next to nothing, if you just put in the effort to discover them!
As far as blog commenting, I think that is going the way of the dinosaur!
