Sales Letters

Increasingly there are more and more sales letters on the internet highlighting anything from software to ebooks. I personally am getting sick of them and to a certain extent because I know it is a marketing ploy as soon as I see one come up on the screen I move on. But because I am online a lot, it maybe just me. What do other people think?

Re: Sales Letters

I hate all those letters and delete 99.99% of them before even reading the second row ...
Many people do the same I think.

Re: Sales Letters

I agree with MBM but is it because we are online all the time. It is an age old tradition before the internet, they had long sales letters - we have all seen them and they workd

Re: Sales Letters

I do not like the sales letters but they work. Our challenges is to build sites for our clients that have the content of the sales letters without the look and feel of them.

Re: Sales Letters

While the unwanted e-mail is intrusive, it is much more acceptable to have a sales letter web page available to those who want to read it.

Re: Sales Letters

Sales letters work they have been around for years and will be around for a lot more years. It is amazing how most things in marketing are fads and do not last that long - sales letters are different. On the web they are your salespeople and a well written one will make all the difference in the world.
