Re: On site optimization and off site optimization?

On page optimization is typically regarded as keyword placement and usage and navigation, etc. Mechanical things.

Similarly, off page optimization is typically regarded as link building, especially the activity of procuring inbound links to a site/page. Again mechanical things.

However, times are a-changing and purely mechanical techniques are not enough. (Nor do they convert to sales very well, either.)

To keep up with Google's ever-changing algorithm, one needs more than just backlinks and hot techniques du jour. One needs lots of original, high-quality content that human visitors love. This is because Google monitors visitor behavior. The longer people stay on your site and the more frequently they come back, the higher Google ranks your site.

Incidentally, high quality, original sites tend to attract lots of natural inbound links, which Google loves. So it has an added bonus. It also attracts viral, social media traffic as well.

Re: On site optimization and off site optimization?

On page optimization means All basic and important points like keyword research, meta tags, content optimization, link optimization, ALT tags, anchor text, Sitemaps etc. After that you should go through off page optimization. Off page is important to increase traffic and also keyword ranking. So both factor are most required for promoting site.
