Need help selling on Amazon.com

My company makes a Software as a Service (SaaS) product and we'd like to sell it on Amazon. Unlike traditional software, amoCRM's is accessed from the internet and doesn't have to be installed, which means there's no physical product to mail.

Amazon offers a cloud hosting service on which I think you can host SaaS but we already use a different provider and we aren't going to switch to Amazon solely to be able to sell our product on their site.

The only thing I can think of is selling codes and having people redeem them on our site but this seems like a really out of the way fix to something that should have a simple solution. Plus it's not really an option for us anyway.

Re: Need help selling on Amazon.com

One possible angle I can think of is selling your service as a subscription. They have magazine subscriptions so why not have a similar product setup with a subscription to your web based service?

Also I would highly recommend contacting the Amazon help departments as they are extremely easy to access and very knowledgeable about getting your questions into the right hands. All of my dealings with Amazon support have been pretty amazing and I am sure they can point you towards a solution or explain why it is difficult build one. They want your business as much as you want to give it to them if you have a legitimate product.

Most likely you will need the $40 or whatever a month pro-seller account where you can build out your products pretty much any way you wish.

Best of luck and would love to see the website product your talking about as a better feel for the product will lend itself to more solution possibly being provided by the community.

Thanks. We'll definitely look at that. It will be a problem if it won't show up in searches for CRM in the Software category but if not then we'll probably do it.
