Kindly tell me that what is the meaning of keyword density. Is keyword density is the important part of On page optimization.

Keyword density is defined as the percentage of the total number of times the main target keyword(s) appears on the web page compared to the total number of words on the web page.
Keyword density (%) = (total number of times the main target keyword(s) appears on the web page / total number of words on the web page) * 100

Well, for me, keyword density is the percentage of the keyword in your page. the ideal is from 4-5%. if you have too much, it may look like your trying too hard. if you don't have enough, crawlers may think that the page is about something else.
