Google has taken a gigantic step towards their ultimate goal of competing with popular social networking sites, by introducing the +1 voting on all its search results. Some of the fundamental aspects of this product include:
• It provides a voting option to the users for search results page.
• It is mandatory to have a Google account before you use this feature.
• Your ratings are shared overtly; but can be undone.
• Ads can be customized as per the needs of the clients.
Right now this feature is only available for US Google users; but once the experiment ends successfully it will be implemented on other Google sites as well.
