A link from a high PR site, but a N/A-PR page?

Hi guys,
I know that a link from a relevant, high PR site could be really helpful, but what if the page which links to your site doesn't have a PR? Let's say; there is a PR5 site and it links to your site in an inner page which doesn't have a PR. How will Google consider this link? Will it be considered a high PR link or an ordinary link? I'd like to get your opinions on this. Thanks in advance.

If the page doesnt have a rank....google might not have ranked it yet. One day it could become a PR5.

Agree. Chances are, athough the inner page may not yet have a high PR, the fact that the domain has a high PR means that there is a greater chance that the inner page will inherit some PR at a later date.

If the root domain has a PR5 you will still get lot of link juice. Question remains whether the PR is so important, when we know that Google takes over 200 factors in ranking.

Au Contraire, Google doesn't just consider links that comes from pages with page rank. It looks at links as links. It measures on how people are linking to your site. It would analyze to see if a site has a lot of unnatural links, if a site only has links from high PR sites, that would look very unnatural, if it only has links from site that doesn't have nofollow tag, it will look unnatural. It's not always about page rank nowaday guys. Hope you guys consider other factors considering the changes that has happen after all the algo changes such as caffeine, panda and mayday.
