Hello Friends

Office safety involves the elimination of danger and potential hazards for the security and protection of all workers. There should be no compromise in generating a safe office environment because when taken for granted, there are devastating consequences. Generally, office environment varies according to the business type. However, we can practice some basic guidelines that encourage the development of a healthy office environment.Listed here are some useful office safety tips for everyone.
1)Electrical safety : It concerns the use of safe and approved electrical circuits, cords and equipments. Whether loose, broken or worn out- non-functioning electrical outlets are hazardous. They should be repaired or replaced before allowed for use. Avoid placing liquid products anywhere near the power outlets and electrical equipments. The company should also conduct the initiative to do routine checks on all power points. This helps to prevent short circuits.
2)Office safety: It is also highly related to trips and fall prevention. Slipping is usually caused by inadequate friction between footwear and ground. Therefore, choose appropriate and comfortable footwear. Accidents are more prone to occur when the ground surface is damp and greasy. To prevent this, proper housekeeping is necessary to keep an office area dry and clean. Walkways should also have good lighting.
3)Fire prevention: Every office should practice routine office evacuation drills to ensure that everyone is familiar with the procedure to escape fire. Office doors and especially emergency exits should be made obstruction-free. There should be a curb on smoking inside the office because it may trigger fire when not disposed of properly. Fire extinguishers should also be maintained in good condition.

Have a nice day
