Dream Dinners?

Anyone have any experience with them, or any similar companies?

They are places where groups or individuals can meet up and prepare dinners for up to several weeks, then vaccum pack them and pop them in the microwave when you want to eat.

My friend in Seattle said they are everywhere in the Northwest and her and her husband are looking into opening on around the corner from their house.

I see commercials here in Los Angeles everyday for Dream Dinners and just wanted to know if anyone uses them or has invested in the franchise.

Thanks

Re: Dream Dinners?

I looked into the concept and think that it is a great idea we looked at mygirlfriends kitchen which was one of the first to come out. I think they work best in a live, work , play community where you have a lot of busy professionals. My biggest concern is after awhile you get sick of the food because you know they keep a lot of their favorites.

These types of things are popping up all over the place but I wonder whether or not it is a fad or not.

Re: Dream Dinners?

Before you invest in this type of franchise I would urge you to investigate the following:

Super Suppers franchises
Meal Assembly Watch - A community resource for meal assembly store owners

There is a great deal of information about these franchises and for many they have not lived up to their hype. Customer grow tired of the food, don't have time to prep the meals and their commitment is short lived.

They are tricky franchises with many pitfalls to be aware of.
