I think the Wall Street Journal is the best resource for business owners because they need to keep abreast of the industry and marketplace. While most of the focus is on larger companies it still captures trends, innovations and market place activity which should be helpful to all business owners.

I like entrepreneur magazine because of its focus on small business but I also like to read the WSJ

It really depends on your business. I think the best publication for small businesses often are industry related publications that focus on the industry you compete in. Also local newspapers for the same reason if you have a product which you only sell locally.
