Hello - I own a one person LLC providing marketing, graphic design and sales services. I had originally registered it as a trade name. I later made it into an LLC. Now, my trade name is up for renewal. Is it necessary to renew the trade name now that it is an LLC?
Also - my husband owns a handyman business. We had only registered his as an LLC with no trade name. We would not want to give his name up if someone decides to take it. Do we need to register his business name as a trade name?

You're probably best to get professional advice on this, but for the cost of doing it, I would. After all, consider what it would cost to get it back (if you had to!)
