Hello,

Here are some of the best ways to manage virtual relationships.:

1.Make sure you’re up to speed. Good hardware, software and training are the tools you need to make virtual relationships work.

2.Structure your workday so information can be easily shared, discussed and exchanged.

3.Don’t let the technology get in the way. If email technology isn’t working, quickly default to the phone or a letter.

4.Remember, people do business with people─not machines. Always keep up with your networking contacts.

5.You’ll need another set of skills when you use nontraditional means to communicate: writing must be concise and thoughts must be closely linked.

Managing your employees is no small task. You have to be on top of all aspects of the business making sure every worker is doing his job accordingly, at the same time you want your workers to respect you and appreciate you as well. To help you balance that, one of the things you need to build up is communication. By communicating you have to know how and when to implement regular staff meetings in order to keep everyone up to date with what's going on in your business, as well as to let them know what you expect of them, and to make sure they are clear on what their task at hand is. You should also encourage your employees to speak their mind on any ideas that they have, let them know you respect their knowledge in their particular area of expertise. You want them to feel apart of the experience so that they can have that personal feeling towards the business and give it all they got. That also includes complimenting your employees on a job well done, and showing them you appreciate their dedication. Create a fine line between your personal relationship with them, so if any complications do come up you will be able to make your decision thoroughly with a clear mind without it having to reflect on your decision.

Is the nature of managerial work universal such that worldwide similarities exist between the activities of managers? We measure the frequency that managers are involved with forty-four skill activities, and then test the universalist hypothesis against two competing hypotheses, situational and convergence. While we find some evidence that refutes the universalist hypothesis, overall we find surprisingly strong support for it, in that the relative frequency with which managers from one stratum of one nation are involved in various skill activities reflects the relative frequency with which managers from other strata within the same nation, and from nations of different cultural-industrialized standing, are involved in the same activities.
