What type of PDA do you use and why? We were looking at purchasing a couple for the key executives but wanted to get some feedback on this forum.

We use the Palm treo but the older version 600s. I have used the blackberrys before but the treos are better phones and it is easier to type

I agree although the treo is a bigger phone it is easier to type on it and you can hear better on the phone both are shortcomings of the new blackberries

Consider waiting for the next version of the iPhone to come out. It's certainly moving towards that functionality. As a "senior" exec, I'd want the latest thing.

Re: What type of PDA do you use

Many people believe that having a personal digital assistant like an iPhone/IPod Touch, Palm Pilot or Windows Mobile device greatly increases their productivity–regardless of whether or not it is true. These devices can be great, but they don’t help everyone. It is important to consider the cost of technology, not just in terms of money, but in terms of time. I’ve seen people spend hours and hours trying to get their calendar synchronized when their pocket calendar did the job much better for a fraction of the cost. This article should help give you some things to think about when it comes to deciding if a PDA would be beneficial to you. To start off with, lets look at some reasons you might benefit from a PDA:

1. Easy access to calendar.
2. Easy access to contacts.
3. Mobile email (in some cases)
4. Notes and other databases

I was using a palm tree about 5 years. I read books recalls had played a few g***s had a database on my it a bit and other things. I went to 3 tx, they never lasted a year before they needed replaced. it was worth the extended warranty now I have an iphone and it does more, except for recalls.
