Should 2 employees in the same building be allowed to DATE

Lets say that a company does not have a policy in writing about dating in the workplace. There is a man and a woman working together daily and they have started dating.

Some would worry that this could cause issues for the business. Can some of you please give me some advice and suggestions on how you would handle these issues?

I would say that there should not be anything wrong with both of the individuals dating. They should keep in mind that there is a time for business and a time for a relationship. As long as they always keep it on a business level and do not bring there relationship into the business, things should be fine.

I think that two employees should be allowed to date, however when it comes to a supervisor and an employee I don't think it should be allowed. You should implement a policy that you expect all staff members to behave in a professional manner. Office romances, relationships, or affairs will be kept separate from the work environment, and you will not tolerate ual liaisons and ual behavior at work. Spell out the consequences if the romance is negatively impacting the workplace.

If there is no policy in place about dating coworkers, then there is nothing wrong with it. If things bleed over into the working enviroment and other workers start to become uncomfortable or anything like that, then it needs to be addressed by the higher ups. Maybe a talk saying look your personal life is yours to have but here at work it stays just work. Maybe a policy needs to be put in place? Everyone is an ***** but sometimes things happen. You need to take it on a case by case basis when there is no set policy and be fair to everyone involved, the dating parties and other coworkers.

Thanks guys, it helps a lot! I'm still not sure if I'm going to do this or not, but I guess it would be a good start*
