Differentiation is a strategy for strengthening the coverage of the market where they are ignoring the differences within the market. It is assumed all the same person. The company attempts to appeal to the whole market with one product (line) or service (line) and promotion strategy. Is to provide a single, enhanced Mix the total market. This approach usually depends on a comprehensive manufacturing, distribution and promotion of mass destruction.

Undifferentiated marketing is another term for mass marketing. It is through this marketing practice that a company will use whatever vehicles necessary to spread it's marketing message. Through this practice segment markets are ignored and whole markets are advertised and marketed to.

As far as I know it's the opposite of differentiated Marketing, like for example what I am doing by targetting a very Special Group instead of a General Group by telling the people reading my Digital Camera-ideas Blog about a great product for browsing photo's. Because while the product can be great for a General Public also I do think that it's especially intersting for exactly that Special Group. Totally focussing on the things I think that Group would be interested in.

Undifferentiated marketing is a marketing strategy that seems as if all consumers have similar tastes and motivations. It is also known as mass marketing. There are various advantages and disadvantages of undifferentiated marketing.
