Re: What is a Target Audience?

When a company starts to think about strategies to market a new product or service, first take the time to ask to make the most of what they offer. For example, an advertisement for a toy for young children can be created with parents in mind. A toy for children from eight to ten years, however, put ads for children in this age group interested in the product.

Re: What is a Target Audience?

A target audience can be people of a certain age group, gender, marital status, etc. (ex: teenagers, females, single people, etc.) A certain combination, like men from twenty to thirty is often a target audience. Other groups, although not the main focus, may also be interested. Discovering the appropriate target market(s)and determining the target audience is one of the most important activities in marketing management . The biggest mistake entrepreneurs are making is trying to reach everybody and ending up appealing to no-one.
Consumer behavior.

Re: What is a Target Audience?

An audience with specific characteristics.

For example when you want to sell a Music Video, you could advertise with a commercial on Big TV networks like NBC or CBS, and you probably reach several music lovers, only when you would advertise on MTV (Music Television) you probably will have a much more Targeted Audience that way.

A target audience is a specific group of people within the target market at which the marketing message is aimed, For example, if a company sells new diet programs for men with heart disease problems (target market) the communication will be aimed at the spouse (target audience) which take care of the nutrition plan of her husband.and child.

Re: What is a Target Audience?

an analogy I often make is that when we create advertising and marketing programs that are broad (throwing spaghetti at a wall and hoping something sticks...) we are much less effective than if we tailor our marketing efforts to reach a specific target audience. Something that truly reaches a specific prospective customer, that is created so that it reaches them, they remember it and ideally act on it. It is usually more expensive to take this marketing approach but much more effective than the broad throwing spaghetti at the wall techniques that many often do because they don't take the time to identify a target market/audience.

Re: What is a Target Audience?

A target audience is determined by several characteristics. Depending on the product marketing teams take into account the age and *** that will be most interested in making a purchase. The companies will also consider the income range of potential buyers and where they are in life.
