Re: Marketing Vs Sales Job

I think there is no so-called best job. It not only depends on your skills, but also depends on your interest and hobby. The one you like is always the best.

Re: Marketing Vs Sales Job

It is true that marketing is the number one thing any business must do. However, I have said in the past that marketing and sales are together. Here is what I mean to clarify. If you are in insurance sales, you are not a salesperson one hundred percent of the time, you should look at it like you are a marketer of the service that goes with the insurance business. If on the other hand you are in the business of pest control, you should see yourself as a marketer of pest control service.

I think it really depends on how you manage your job.

Is it really a fight, or merely a misunderstanding? Perhaps it's time the corporate globe requires another look at both of these two income generating actions. Both, after all, have gone through simple changes in latest times.

Re: Marketing Vs Sales Job

According to me information, marketing is much better way than sales jobs to promote or advertise your business or services. Because in marketing, you can use promotional products, Internet and many things in low cost which are not available for sales jobs.

Re: Marketing Vs Sales Job

It depends on the individual. A confident, chatty and outgoing person would suit sales. Whereas Marketing is good for organized and analytical thinkers who are able to devise a plan and get a real kick from the results. Both require a target-driven mentality. I wouldn't say either is better than the other as they generally compliment each other.
