I think SEO is the most effective internet marketing tool used for generating higher traffic and it also increases the rank of your websites in all search engines by using different techniques such as forum commenting,blog commenting,article submission and social bookmarking etc..!!

I think there really is no one best method and it is a matter of trying them or hiring professionals to complete the work and then seeing which one you like/works the best and then taking it to the next level and focusing on that one particular marketing strategy more then the others.

No!!! Google Adwords are not recommended if you are starting with Internet Marketing. I think it comes in the last, once you are through the basics of Internet Marketing, then you jump to Adwords!!

To start with one should concentrate on learning the basics, and keyword research is most important if you are planning to get into adwords. Otherwise you will have a weak campaign and you will end up losing money!

1- Keyword search results from search engines.
2- PPC and facebook ad campaign.
3- bookmarking, blogs & articles creation and posting , directory submission , forums etc.

When it comes to Internet marketing, SEO is the king, although it is sometimes wise to try other methods as well, such as Adwords, Email Marketing, etc
