Both links have individual importance. Forum Links are mostly important for the Traffic purpose. and the Article Links are important for the link-juice techniques. As separate article links have cached individually and get indexed by Google.

I like both because both are giving quality back links to my sites. I always put unique articles for each and every article submission's sites.

There is no real right answer to this question and you really will most likely want to us a combination of both techniques. Within this kind of question it is also not really about which method is better but more about what type of content you are building and which sites you are distributing that content under. A terrible article released on a low ranking or spam filled site will not do you much good. Just like worthless posts on average forums will do. It mostly about the value you are roviding to the internet community and what tools are you are using rather then if anyone method of SEO is better. The 2 methods above are just the tip of iceberg when it comes to building backlinks as well and almost any kind backlinking style that works can not be ignored.

Articles are more valuable to search engines because it's good content rich with keywords.
Forum links is good for backlinks building, it would be good if you get links on high PR forums and reputable forums related to your niche.

Kinda hard to tell nowadays on which is the best thing to do.

1. forums are filled with spammers lately and chances of getting a good visitor from those sites are very low. since only mostly spammers go there. link juice is also low as the number of links that will share a page's value will divide it to a very low amount getting to your page.
2. articles, given that it has original content and has been properly submitted will definitely give good results but with the common practice of a lot of SEO out there, chances of getting anything out of it is low.

In my opinion both of methods are essential. There is no specific answer an seo must try every possible method to create natural links. Forums and article submission is just the parts of the different methods of promotion.

According to my point of view, Article links are better than forum links because in Articles there is no doubt of spammer or any other thing.

i completely agree with u and want to say u said very true comparison is not possible or u can say like that both are used to build your back link -------------

According to me there are more visitor on forum than articles, if you will make link on forums then you will get traffic and if you make link on article you will get quality traffic......

It is depends on Google search engine higher rank algorithm, which type links and how much wait age is given by Google search engine to that link, so it is depends.

According to me forum posting is more better as compare to article links technique in SEO. In latest algorithm of Google is based on quality content first. So post fresh and quality content and get more traffic and high indexing on Google. Do relevant and useful comments which are having less chance for going in spamming.
