Well, the number one would have to be facebook I guess since most of my friends and family are using it. it has been one of the best free tools to communicate with them even if they are very far away. Twitter would be next but a lot of social media sites can be connected nowadays. you can connect fb and twitter so that your twits or your fb posts will show up in the other. linkedin for professional network is nice too. it is a nice place to list all of your credentials and sometimes, it's a great place to get people interested in what you can do see you, google + is kinda fun but not really that much into it that much compared to FB. I guess I just have top 4

Although Facebook is probably included in the top 5 regardless of the industry, you really need to ask yourself where your best customers are really hanging out online. For example, if you sell medical equipment to doctors perhaps you need to focus on medical related forums and message boards. If you want to target them in Facebook, be prepared to approach them on a more personal level where you might have to find and nurture your leads even more. So when it comes to the top social media websites for your business/organization, you need to ask whether pure quantity (more users per social network) is more important than the quality (more qualified target users per social network).

Social media sites is use for increase website online traffic. On internet lots of social media sites available. I have several sites and I am always work with facebook, twitter, Myspace, Google plus, Tumblr for increase my website online traffic. These all sites use for increase communication with online people and also use for put ads for your product and services.
