Well, according to me there is basic two types of SEO that are as follows :
- on-page optimization
- off-page optimization.

On page optimization includes the following:

1. Optimizing each page for a single keyword.
2. Keyword density: About 1%.
3. Use the keyword in the title of your page/article/content.
4. Use the keyword in

tags.
5. Put the keyword (and keywords associated with it) in your Meta tag.
6. Re-name images with a file name that includes the keyword.
7. Include the keyword in the alt tag of images.

This is not an all-inclusive list. But if you do these 7 things, you will be ahead of 95% of everyone else.
