"HTML encryption is a method used to protect your website content and
source code in JavaScript and Hex Code. Anyone can view the source code of
a webpage, but with the use of HTML Block it encrypts your source code into
unreadable code. Which cannot be stolen, neither edited! "

Bull. As soon as someone views a page, it's already on the computer (e.g.
stolen). If a browser can "decrypt it", so can a simple program.

The funny thing: they didn't use it on their own site, as a demo.

I wonder why is that?

Ouch, ... this is their free encryption....

The not free one probably adds some extra JavaScript stuff that disables
the right mouse button, etc.

exactly, the most they can hope to do is force me to do a little
work if I want to view their precious source code. But they
won't stop me will they my precious?

Oh no precious, we couldn't do that, then they'd know we're full
o'c**p

Oh yes precious! which does precisely d**k when you do like I
do and surf with java, javascript, flash and most other plugins
disabled. (and if I were dumb enough to use IE, I'd have active-
x disabled too.)

Only two ways to really hide webpage source:

1. Use images instead of text (high page loading times....)
2. Use Flash

...both of which kill SEO..

Not only do they kill SEO, but they'll drive visitors away in droves.

It's called Obfuscation and it's an old and common concept - Nothing new.

And noone has claimed that the method would be 100% secure.

It might be good enough for those who need a decent protection, to protect
themselves from people who don't have time or find it worthwhile to write a piece
of software which cracks the algorithm. And there's no such thing as 100%
secure encryption. Even Flash can be disassembled.

It's not even 1% secure. It's a waste of money and time.

Cracks, l***o. You don't even need a computer to crack it.

> And there's no such thing as 100% secure encryption.

Yes there is. But I wouldn't call this encryption nor obfuscation.

Given that the SWF spec is openly available there's nothing to it.
There are also SWF obfuscators and products that encrypt text strings
within SWF.
