I often see see webmasters' questioning whether PR still matters or not in webmaster forums. I think that the answer is still big Yes. Reasons include the followings:
1. Positive PR indicates that your site is not penalized. This is like a vital sign.
1.2. Other webmasters often check this, and if PR is 0, then many webmasters stay away.
2. If you're advertising on your forum, in particular, advertising using text link ads, a lot of webmasters check this. If you have high PR, then you can command high advertising fees.

^if your visitors are only coming in because your forum has a pretty neat PR, chances of getting good members are very low. they are just probably there to drop links.

If you do something special then u need PR...So still PR has wroth for readers

PR is very important for the ranking and traffic.
