Re: Page rank difference

Google toolbar is most perfect. I use that only for checking Pagerank. Dowmload google toolbar in your browser and you can check right pagerank in it.

Re: Page rank difference

There are many good tools available over the internet but we are generally using Google rank and Alexa rank for the better results. It gives knowledge about the traffic and importance of website.

If you are interested in blogging, you need to know something about Google Page Rank, also known as Google PR.
Google PR is a tool to assess website and each web page. One of the most important factors is the quality and quantity of incoming links. When you publish an article or start a new blog, and you check the Google PR, you will see that the article or blog has a Google PR N/A.

Re: Page rank difference

PageRank is the numeric value given to your website based on its relevance and importance according to Google. It is said to be named after co-founder Larry Page. If Larry’s last name had been Smith or Jones I don’t think that this would cause so much confusion in the world of online marketing, but I digress. Page rank, or search rank, is where your webpage falls in the search engine results page. If you type in a keyword and your website shows up in Google as the number three listing, your search rank is number three. PageRank doesn’t determine search rank, but it does contribute towards it.

Re: Page rank difference

Google page-rank is most preferable. the Alexa page rank may vary. Alexa is giving ranks based on three months of aggregated historical traffic data from millions of Alexa Toolbar users and data obtained from other, diverse traffic data sources, and is a combined measure of page views and users (reach). As a first step, Alexa computes the reach and number of page views for all sites on the Web on a daily basis. The main Alexa traffic rank is based on a value derived from these two quantities averaged over time (so that the rank of a site reflects both the number of users who visit that site as well as the number of pages on the site viewed by those users). The three-month change is determined by comparing the site's current rank with its rank from three months ago. For example, on July 1, the three-month change would show the difference between the rank based on traffic during the first quarter of the year and the rank based on traffic during the second quarter.
