Good few point there. I definitely agree with the first and fourth one. It seems whenever you turn your back another competing online store pops up, or someone else is on ebay undercutting you to make a quick few dollars.

Spam, totally, get heaps of that repeatedly. Doesn't take a lot of time, but frustrating none the less.

I think it is quite easy to copy any business model though, being online doesn't necessarily make it any easier I don;t think.

True with point three there is a lot of skill and expertise needed to develop a online business, but with any business whether a sandwich shop or internet business making the product and setting up the shop are usually the easy bit. Staying in business, attracting customers and growing are usually the hard thing, online of offline.

Can leave the businessman feeling isolated:

This is very common. Because the world wide web is faceless (In most cases), it can appear cold and inhuman. This can leave you feeling isolated and very inward. Not a nice feeling at all. Everyone likes to socialize and meet people, but in this case, its quite difficult to, in business anyway.

Hard to tell if people are lying:

There is so much information on the world wide web now, it's sometimes hard to tell the difference between c**p and quality. A lot of the c**p is targeted at newbies. Here's an example "Make money fast by doing NOTHING", sound familiar? I bet you've had a ton of emails saying something similar.

Information Overload:

Once again we get to the part of there being a lot of information on the world wide web. There can be too much good information too. There can be a lot of competition for an industry, this can leave you more confused than if there were presented with loads of c**p. You might not be able to tell who to chose. If you are a veteran of the net, you wont have much to worry about, however if you're a newbie then this is a problem.

Computer Expertise Requirement:
One disadvantage of internet trade is that the initiator of this business must ensure some expertise in the computer medium to properly run this business. Although a business can hire professionals to control the internet trade mechanism but unless and until the business owner himself won't develop the necessary skills in internet trade then he could never truly analyze the performance of the business and properly run it. This is major disadvantage as most business owners that do not have a computer related background find it relatively difficult to run internet trade.

Security and confidentiality issues:
Security issues are also a disadvantage in internet trade. Although computer security have increased in the recent years with new programming and encryption protocol design to safeguard internet trade but internet is an open medium which still imposes threat to online cash transactions. Some business are unwilling to run internet trade because they fear the leak of confidential matter during the internet trade and are also reluctant to facilitate heavy cash transaction on the internet. The confidentiality matter and leak of secret information also greatly concern the business initiators.

If the internet marketer is concentrating on only one particular niche, then in case of failure of the particular niche, there will be utter chaos and the marketer will lose all the business which will cause great loss to the person. All the time and effort spent on building the business itself will go waste. This is one of the major disadvantages of niche business, especially when it fails.

Internet trade is the fastest growing business transaction in the world today. The reason why most business owners prefer to initiate business and commence on internet trade is because this medium is the fastest way to do so, and is not dependent upon territorial a distance restrictions. If you use the Internet, you may be facing grave danger as your personal information such as name, address, credit card number etc. can be accessed by other culprits to make your problems worse.

Spamming:

Such illegal activities can be very frustrating for you, and so instead of just ignoring it, you should make an effort to try and stop these activities so that using the Internet can become that much safer.

Virus threat
Virus is nothing but a program which disrupts the normal functioning of your computer systems. Computers attached to internet are more prone to virus attacks and they can end up into crashing your whole hard disk, causing you considerable headache.

One of the major lessons learned so far is that all businesses cannot thrive on the Internet. Some companies are simply not appropriate for the business environment. Customers may not be willing to change their buying habits of some products. Wear clothes for example. Customers will not rush to buy clothing online because they are unsure of exact dimensions and do not want to worry about returning items that do not fit well.

It is clear that the benefits clearly outweigh the disadvantages of e-business. All companies must eventually change its mode of operation and to adopt e-business practices to ensure the survival and success.

Availability
Not everyone has Internet access, and many of your potential customers who are not able to use the Internet may actually be lost to you if you do not provide an alternate means of doing business with them.
