Re: How to reduce users bounce rate

Most of the users get attracted by the good and relevant content of your site. It adds extra flavor to your site to stick the readers and also helps to build users trust on your site. Quality Content is the best way to attract huge amount of users to your site. But if your site has not the good quality content then obviously the users will move to the next site and hence, poor traffic with high bounce rate.

Hilit

If your visitors are coming from directories and social media, then there is likely something in your content that is making them bounce. Try making changes using some A-B split testing to see which changes improve things and which don't. Also watch for how much time your visitors stay on your site.

Social traffic is tougher to capture and hold than search engine traffic, but the challenge isn't impossible. Make your content sparkle and capture their attention.

Also make sure your link text matches what your site is about, or your traffic is coming in for the wrong reason. Hence the bounce. That will only be remedied by keeping it real and fixing your anchor text/signatures/listings.

Re: How to reduce users bounce rate

A good way to limit bounce rates is to make sure you are not providing too many external links across your website. The less external links you have the less likely it is for someone to "bounce" to another site. Another good tip is to test your sight in various browsers. Maybe people are leaving who use IE but not who use chrome which could indicate a browser specific issue. Another good tip is to study which of your pages have the the best "bounce" data and then try to figure out why that is. Use the winning elements for your other pages that are not doing so well.

Re: How to reduce users bounce rate

About 80% of all internet users are looking for information. If you give quality information (not something that's regurgitated or spun from every other article out there on the subject) you will retain more readers. It can help to work on your blog titles too. Sometimes a really interesting title will hold someone's attention enough for them to read the whole thing.

Basically, everything on your blog has to be interesting. You have to keep their attention in the first few seconds, the next few seconds, the next, the next and so on. Visit your own blog with a different perspective. What comes up on the page that would make someone stay longer?

Good luck!

Re: How to reduce users bounce rate

Visitors leave your site in few seconds or from home page and that is count as your site bounce rate. So they do this because they don't find interesting stuff or what they are looking for. So try to give them what they want, remove all irrelevant content form your site and update with fresh content. Offer your site visitors interesting stuff like free online g**e, software's, e books, videos, etc. It will keep them on site for long time.

Re: How to reduce users bounce rate

a high bounce rate generally means that when the user gets to your site, it's not what they expected. maybe you landing pages could be optimized, maybe the links taking people to your site are misleading. the load time on your site could take too long. check into these things and see if there are some changes you could make.
