Re: How to reduce bounce rate ?

Bounce Rate means that when someone visited your page and leaves without viewing any other pages. One way to see it is that people visited your page and didn't see anything they want. Another way to see it is that your page provided exactly what they are looking for, read it and answered their question. The amount of time spent on your website will give you more information on whether the bounce rate is good or not. If they spent a long time on your website will probably support the latter hypothesis.

Interesting to note that a low bounce rate can be attributed to far too many factors. But among the major contributing factors I observed was poor website loading speeds, the presentation of the website, and lack of interesting or value adding content and not ranking for the right keywords. If these are corrected, you'll notice an improvement in your bounce rate.

The fact that your website is not engaging enough can be due to many things. I believe your ability to related with your visitors as soon as they land on your website is very important. Provide lots of value and you'll keep people more on your site.

A low bounce can be as a results of too many things that are sometime beyond your scope or expertise. Consider someone that landed on your page by accident while searching for something else...they'll abandon it as soon as they notice it is not what they were looking for. One thing is certain, displaying valuable content and featuring a responsive, easy to your website design will do wonders as far as your bounce rate is concerned.

There isn't a one-size-fit all kind of situation when it comes to reducing bounce rate, but you can definitely minimize this by doing a few things. One thing you can do to minimize the possibility of this happening is by providing relevant information on all your website pages. That means from meta description, meta tags, keywords and content. The more valuable the content, the longer it will retain visitors on your site. Employ great web-based visual content and it similarly keep your bounce rate down.

Bounce rate is increased due to many reasons. If your website is taking more time to load or your website didn't have attractive content or users got the answers quickly or your website is not responsive, etc., then bounce rate will be increased. Try to decrease the bounce rate to maintain healthy traffic to your website.

Just recently I noticed that our bounce rate was in the 60s mark, but immediately after updating new content on our site we saw a significant change. Our bounce rate plummeted to 30%. If you have content on your site improve it and make sure you've optimized it correctly. That should bring massive changes in your bounce rate!
