Re: How to Measure ROI on SEO

Simple forumla is

ROI Percentage = [(Revenue – Investment)/Investment]*100

for your ads you can use

ROAS: (Revenue / Cost)*100 = ROAS Percent

In more simple words you can say that

ROI = (Conversions Realized from Organic Listings) – (Cost of SEO).

Re: How to Measure ROI on SEO

The most popular tool used to measure the ROI is Google Analytics. But you should know that Google Analytics does not directly tell you that how profitable your SEO campaign was. You need to add in various other factors to figure out the final figure. You need to keep in mind other factor like.

1.Ranking
2.Conversion Rate
3.Traffic
4.Total Revenue.

Well, you don't need to add in those factors as google analytics already show those factor.
1. ranking - revenue by keywords
2. conversion rate - already shown in ecommerce tab
3. traffic - not really something that you can use for your ROI. more traffic != more revenue
4. total revenue - will still have to go through the formula ROI Percentage = [(Revenue – Investment)/Investment]*100
