I have published 5 lens(articles) on squidoo and its all live and featured.Also i have an
article published at hubpages.I want to know how does publishing to these authoritative
sites helps in increasing ranking. And also I would like to know does that helps in
increasing traffic to my site.I have received 8 views in 1 day for my article on hubpages.

Hub Pages works like Article . You can give links in hub pages and throug that link you can increases your ranking.

squidoo lenses and hubpage blogs are very high ranking and get your site a good page rank within no time.

Squido has many more facility .. Like changing Font color, Back ground, than formating paragraph...So the look of the blog is extra ordinary..

they are helpful in getting good pr and traffic to your website. search engine gave importance to hub pages an squido lenses.

Links are most important thing. I have done it several times but it takes a lot of quality inbound links from others to reach the top and you do not need to always have fresh links.
I have been using to Squidoo more than a year, and I learned a little reading about it and experiment.
