I do not think there is much difference in business card design and g**e card design. Just use of specific color combination and theme should have a unique concept in each. A business card should have a professional look specially design to target corporate audience where the g**e card should have sparkling designs with use of heavy dark color and stylist trendy theme. You can use the same software for both designs.

What g**e will be featured on the cards? For specialized projects like this it is usually better to outsource both the design and printing. Just put creative touch and direction on the project while letting other professionals execute there craft. Usually print and design and not to expansive with all the great freelance sites that exist. Do you have any pictures of what the cards will look or any prototypes?
