I believe it does. I do believe Google will consider the social media more and more in the future 😉 Nowadays, social media is becoming one of the leading media in the world, in my opinion 🙂

Yes guy I also believe. Google had announced that social media signal is one of factor for Google ranking. This is for real time search result and in future Google will give more emphasize on this.

Google announced a couple weeks ago that they are particularly focused on including results from Google+ pages when searches are performed. These reults now show up on the right-hand part of the page.

Re: Does Google consider social media while identifying position to a website in Serp

Hi Rob,

I think Google very much considers social media when building out SERPS. It even mentions it a few times in there beginner SEO guide. I think the best approach is to focus much of your social media efforts on Google owned social media products like Google+, YouTube, Google Places etc. I think social media is a very broad term and there are a lot of tools on the internet related to social media that Google thinks very highly of and builds ranks off of.
