Forum is important to get Back links..In forum You will also post your site's link in signature.. but your Forum must be meaning ful .. and if you will submit Forum again and again then Google consider it as a Spam...

That's true, I am agree with you. Forum posting is best way to get backlinks and more traffic. And also it is fast effective. But some time is possible to problem of banned. If you do forum constantly and regularly in same site then google may band you. That's very bad effect on you business and problem of IP banned. Google consider you spam some time. So legaly and quality forum posting is best for getting good traffic.

I like the idea of having a forum.Forum is important to get Back links.I am sure there are other people you can get to use it before you open to the public,that's normally the best thing i do i think.

Forums works great for your site, it gets you huge amount of traffic , quality backlinks which helps in ranking your site to the top position. Other than this it makes your queries solved and your knowledge is increased through participation. I don't see any such disadvantage of forum rather than taking the amount of time and effort to get them started and maintain them.

Forum posting is one of the best way to enhance knowledge as well grab new things, that is the reason me joined this forum, hope to learn a lot from here.
Besides that, some forums allow signatures so, besides sharing knowledge one also gets a link back for ones website.

Disadvantages:
Moderation - Whenever you open up a public forum then you are going to have to think about moderation.
Spam - Like the majority of things on the World Wide Web, a forum is just an open target for any spammer because if your forum gets big then it could have some weight in Google.
